Unafraid: Moving Beyond Fear-Based Faith by Benjamin L. Corey
6:30pm • 2nd & 4th Fridays starting January 10 • St. Paul Lounge
Find a faith that heals you, frees you from fear, and guides you in hope and courage. And find faith-full companions for the journey, as you read and discuss together one chapter a week.

This 9-session study of Unafraid by Benjamin Corey will be hosted by John M in the St. Paul Lounge. It will meet at 6:30pm on 2nd and 4th Fridays, January through May (skipping Good Friday)—Jan 10 and 24; Feb 14 and 28; Mar 13 and 24; Apr 24; May 8 and 22.

Beginners and imperfect-attenders welcome.

The Universal Christ practice groups

The Universal Christ by Richard Rohr
Wednesdays starting February 5 • noon & 6:00pm (choose one) • St. Paul Lounge/Fellowship Hall
Explore what it means that Jesus was called “Christ” and how this forgotten truth can transform everything we see, hope for, and believe. And practice with other beginners an ancient form of prayer called “contemplation.”

Two parallel 8-session practice groups will read and pray their way through Richard Rohr’s The Universal Christ. Hosted by Pastor Clark, Mitch H and Sandy W, they will meet weekly on Wednesdays at St. Paul—one group at noon and the other at 6:00pm.

Beginners and imperfect-attenders welcome.

Discover God’s Story and then step into it. Make lifelong friends in Christ.

These 8-week small groups will be like a book club for the Bible. In the spring, groups will focus on the stories of Jesus and the spiritual letters written to everyday followers (the New Testament); in the fall, on the stories of creation and the birth and liberation of God’s people (the first five books of the Old Testament).

Read a bible you already own, or a new one printed like a novel—in contemporary English and without the distractions of markings and footnotes.
Immerse small groups will be hosted by St. Paul people at various times and in various places, between April 12 and June 7 (spring) and September 13 and November 8 (fall), coordinated by Indra Brewer and Pastor Clark. Stay tuned for details.

Beginners and imperfect-attenders welcome.
