Pre-school thru 6th Grade Sunday School classes are held Sundays 9:15 - 10:15
between 8:00 and 10:30 worship services from the Sunday after Labor Day until the Sunday before Memorial Day
Confirmation lessons for 7th & 8th graders are on Wednesday evenings during the school year.
We use Spark curriculum from Augsburg.
Crafts, music, drawings, games and prayer are used during class time.
The Fall schedule includes Bible stories from the Old Testament beginning with Creation stories until the Advent season when the story of the birth of Jesus is taught. After the Christmas break, New Testament lessons with the teachings of Jesus continue until Easter and end near the time of Pentecost. Spark Curriculum includes teaching hands on use of the bible and encourages reading the bible with families at home. The bibles are age appropriate to encourage understanding by younger children.
We plan to have a Christmas program with the children being the main story tellers along with other activities during the year.
This year 3rd & 4th grades received their First Communion on Maundy Thursday. A supper for families was held prior to the service.
We have a dedicated staff of experienced teachers on hand each Sunday.
