COMMUNITY MEAL

The first monthly Saint Paul Community Meal was held on 2/24/02 in Fellowship Hall.  This meal was organized by the Outreach Committee of the Saint Paul congregation.

Current meal coordinator is Liz Mink. She plans the menu and sees that needed food items are purchased.  Also enlists the help of volunteers.

The Community Meal is held on the last Sunday of each month.  The only exception is December when we host a Christmas Day Dinner at 12 Noon.
We serve the meal between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm.

It is a free meal – there is no cost for those who come to eat.

At the beginning of each month, lists of menu and volunteer needs are put up on the kiosk in the chapel area, giving members and opportunity to sign up to bring different food items or to volunteer to help out with some part of the meal…cooking, serving or cleaning up.  Members can also contribute financially to help out with the cost of funding this meal on a monthly basis.  Donations can be placed in the offering plate or turned into the church office, earmarked for the Community Meal.

We have had different groups/ individuals within and outside the Saint Paul congregation volunteer to take on some or all of the monthly responsibility for a meal.
